Adventure Learning Center

The Adventure Learning Center (ALC), 4H and the Polk County Extension office has once again been inundated with request to hold another portable challenge training this October. Due to the high demand of request we will only be allowing 16 people to register for this year’s fall training.

Interested in new ways to teach teamwork, communication, and problem-solving to older youth and adults? Join us for the ALC and 4-H Portable Challenge NEW Facilitator Training on September 30th-October 1st at the new Polk County Extension Office in Altoona.

Don't miss this great opportunity! You’ll receive 20 hours of training, a 4-H Challenge notebook, access to ALC and 4-H portable challenge kits in Polk County for 1 year, and experience facilitating 4-H Challenge to take home to groups and organizations in your community. Please note that you need to attend the entire training in order to be certified to use the Portable Challenge equipment and books for free for one year.
